He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Ceyhan Arslan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şakir Suyurgal in the 21st minute of play. Şakir Suyurgal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 25th minute, Tekin Ulualp ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ceyhan Arslan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Ceyhan Arslan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Şakir Suyurgal in the 28th minute of the match. If Şakir Suyurgal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

If Arda Baybars Uğural had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 55th play minutes Şakir Suyurgal shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Ceyhan Arslan and just under the crossbar into goal. Olympos SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Newcastle United FC the free kick. Batı Sarıoğlu hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Olympos SK played a much better game than Newcastle United FC and deserved their victory. The Newcastle United FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
