Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cüneyd Kılınç started the match with the kick off. Kemal Kabak hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Ahmet Ömür Aydınoğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kutay İrem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Menderes getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Kemal Kabak hit a great ball. The supporters of Konya booed when Menderes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kemal Kabak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yaser Benlioğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Semi Mirkelam managed to get in a good position for a shot. Menderes's supporters rose to their feet, but Semi Mirkelam was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Göksun Şentürk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Göksun Şentürk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cüneyd Kılınç's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. After having played for 22 minutes, Yaser Benlioğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Menderes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yaser Benlioğlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kutay İrem recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yaser Benlioğlu got free with Göksun Şentürk in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Menderes booed when Konya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. İlyas Tolga Ayalp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Göksun Şentürk was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Yaser Benlioğlu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 34 minute of play. Ahmet Ömür Aydınoğlu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kutay İrem's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. After 42 minutes, Kemal Kabak mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Menderes and the Konya players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Menderes's Kemal Kabak got a free kick in the 42nd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Göksun Şentürk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cüneyd Kılınç in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 53rd minute, Yusuf Bozlak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Konya's Güney Deniz tried to score from far away in the 55th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Kutay İrem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Habib Şahtürk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Ahmet Ömür Aydınoğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ahmet Ömür Aydınoğlu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kutay İrem in the 76th minute. Yaser Benlioğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Göksun Şentürk having to interfere. Kutay İrem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Ahmet Ömür Aydınoğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Egemen Gökçek kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Konya's Ahmet Ömür Aydınoğlu threw himself towards the right post 86 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Habib Şahtürk, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 96 played minutes Menderes got a freekick which was hit by Nurkan Toydeniz. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Menderes fully deserved thier win.
