Mert Levent stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sergen İlighan's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Sergen İlighan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mert Levent having to interfere. Gürcan Başdoğan hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Tirebolu JK's zone, Kutlu Başöz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kazım Toprak came out of the goal and Kutlu Başöz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Atilla Bumin Kayraalp kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Yenal Vargın was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 27th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Kazım Toprak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kutlu Başöz, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Atilla Kağan Yazıcıoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute, Gürcan Başdoğan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Atilla Kağan Yazıcıoğlu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kazım Toprak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sergen İlighan to make the kick off. When Reşat Müfit came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Samatya JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reşat Müfit couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Tirebolu JK's Atilla Bumin Kayraalp got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Sergen İlighan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sergen İlighan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Mert Levent tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Tirebolu JK getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Rıfkı Garipoğlu hit a great ball. Samatya JK's Mert Levent proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Samatya JK from getting a goal against them. In the 65th of the match, Sergen İlighan tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Mert Levent got in the way and made a wonderful save. The goalkeeper, Mert Levent, was totally fooled by Tirebolu JK's Bora Ceberut, who 76 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Yenal Vargın's late challenge caught a Tirebolu JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yenal Vargın helped the player get up and apologised. In the 86th match minute, Samatya JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yenal Vargın to maneuver through the defense. Rıfkı Garipoğlu scored 0-4 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mert Levent, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tirebolu JK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
