The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes, Ahmet İlhan Hazar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Denizli and the Gürpinar players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ahmet İlhan Hazar hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Gürpinar were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Denizli's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cebrail Umural took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Aziz Evirgen heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Ali Galip Baycan charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ali Galip Baycan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Denizli fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 13th minute. Penalty! Cevdet Toker's late challenge caught a Denizli's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cevdet Toker helped the player get up and apologised. After 22 played minutes Gürpinar got a freekick which was hit by Cevdet Toker. Cevdet Toker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aybars Geylani having to interfere. In the 30th match minute, Gürpinar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boran Erbaş to maneuver through the defense. Musa Ecemiş's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Naci Bağışhan firmly grabbed it by the left post. Naci Bağışhan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Musa Ecemiş in the 34th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Aziz Evirgen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aybars Geylani. Denizli's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aziz Evirgen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cevdet Toker to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Gürpinar's Cevdet Toker dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. After some careless play in the Denizli defense, Savaş Çavlı kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aybars Geylani. The Denizli fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aybars Geylani should have stopped the shot. Yavuz Bülent Tuner charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yavuz Bülent Tuner the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 71st minute of the match, Aziz Evirgen got a very nice opportunity to score, but Aybars Geylani was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Gürpinar's Cevdet Toker got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Musa Ecemiş in the 82nd minute of play forced Gürpinar's goalkeeper Naci Bağışhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aybars Geylani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cevdet Toker in the 87th minute of play. Gürpinar's Naci Bağışhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Musa Ecemiş in the 91st minute of play. Ahmet İlhan Hazar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gürpinar's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
