Savaş Güngör might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Utkan Sadik. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Savaş Güngör ran back to his position shaking his head. 36 minutes into the match, FENERBAHÇE's Alaaddin Ziverbey sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Utkan Sadik narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 37 minutes into the game, Seyfullah Cemşit was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KaraKartal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FENERBAHÇE the free kick. A collision led to KaraKartal getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Savaş Güngör stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Enginalp Birsel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Çağatay Ertaş having to interfere. Utkan Sadik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Savaş Güngör, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Savaş Güngör kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Utkan Sadik. That made the score 0-3 in the 82 minute of play. The supporters of KaraKartal booed when FENERBAHÇE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position.
