Ulu Rehber blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gürhan Uluant having to make a save. Evren Zorbey might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gürhan Uluant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Evren Zorbey ran back to his position shaking his head. Levent Erincer came free with the goalkeeper in the 32nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Seyfettin Sümre could save by the left post. In the 48thth minute of the game Ulu Rehber who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cagaloglu's Gürhan Uluant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aykut Hazin to strike the kick off in the second half. If Ulu Rehber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute.
