Cumhuriyet's Refik Halit Sadi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hayri Sehriyar in the 15th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bora Sayraç in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Refik Halit Sadi saved Cumhuriyet from getting behind. 88 minutes into the match, Cumhuriyet's goal looked a bit too open when Bora Sayraç came free, but Refik Halit Sadi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Güzelyurt's Bora Sayraç nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Refik Halit Sadi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. With a little luck, Güzelyurt's Saltuk Uluman got control of the ball when Mehmet Efe Kantürk tried to sneak it across the goal line.
