Spectators: 7243 (Terracing: 5458, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 112) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Atalay Vatansever started the match with the kick off. After some careless play in the VaKuR defense, Sedat Yazganalp kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yaser Özgu. The VaKuR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yaser Özgu should have stopped the shot. iskenderlispor's Guto Seco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atalay Vatansever in the 10th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, VaKuR's goal looked a bit too open when Basarab Munteanu came free, but Yaser Özgu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Basarab Munteanu came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the iskenderlispor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basarab Munteanu couldn't finish the play. After 24 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for iskenderlispor! Deniz Göçmen kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, İbrahim Efe Nuralp notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of VaKuR's Yaser Özgu. Yaser Özgu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kemalettin Yelesen's late challenge caught a VaKuR's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kemalettin Yelesen helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, iskenderlispor's Kemalettin Yelesen got a free kick in the 33rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Basarab Munteanu in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yaser Özgu saved VaKuR from getting behind. VaKuR's Yaser Özgu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İbrahim Efe Nuralp in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th minute iskenderlispor were awarded a corner. Basarab Munteanu went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of VaKuR's goalie and right to Mustafa Numan Uğursel. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. VaKuR's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Atıf Demirci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guto Seco having to interfere. After 46 minutes, Mustafa Oğuz Cebel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the iskenderlispor and the VaKuR players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 46th match minute, iskenderlispor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mustafa Oğuz Cebel to maneuver through the defense. 47 minutes into the game, Atalay Vatansever was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VaKuR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave iskenderlispor the free kick. A collision led to VaKuR getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Atalay Vatansever hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Yaser Özgu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mustafa Numan Berksu in the 52nd minute of play. Atıf Demirci blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guto Seco having to make a save. Yaser Özgu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basarab Munteanu in the 58th minute of the match. If Mustafa Numan Berksu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basarab Munteanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Yaser Özgu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. VaKuR's Yaser Özgu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sedat Yazganalp in the 65th minute of play. After a rather tough play, VaKuR's Kadir İdil got a free kick in the 70th minute. With a little luck, iskenderlispor's Guto Seco got control of the ball when Atıf Demirci tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basarab Munteanu in the 73rd minute of play forced VaKuR's goalkeeper Yaser Özgu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yaser Özgu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sedat Yazganalp, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 80th minute of the match Kadir İdil shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guto Seco showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 82 minutes, Basarab Munteanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. iskenderlispor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basarab Munteanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, VaKuR's Kadir İdil got a free kick in the 94th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, İbrahim Efe Nuralp managed to get in a good position for a shot. iskenderlispor's supporters rose to their feet, but İbrahim Efe Nuralp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yaser Özgu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
