The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Mustafa Necati Babürşah took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Alpertunga İlkim to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Bekilli SK booed when Taksim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zülfikar Satıkbuğra didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Kemal Önel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Özcan Bozok was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Alpertunga İlkim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mustafa Necati Babürşah in the 62nd minute of play. If Mustafa Necati Babürşah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Taksim fully deserved thier win.
