Saadettin Çelikhan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alim Çinuçin, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. If David Šuker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 13 minutes, Songurhan Baray mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Eyüpspor SK and the Gultekin Spor players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marcelito Putin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Saadettin Çelikhan having to make a save. Yahya Duyar took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fehmi Okhan. In the 34th minute of the match, Yahya Duyar got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fehmi Okhan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gultekin Spor's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. İlkan Balatekin was slow to take the kick. During this time Eyüpspor SK's players had a chance to rest. The supporters of Gultekin Spor booed when Eyüpspor SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dursun Nevruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Alim Çinuçin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saadettin Çelikhan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelito Putin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, Songurhan Baray hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. Songurhan Baray took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 52nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fehmi Okhan. Gultekin Spor's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 53rdth minute of the game Yahya Duyar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gultekin Spor's Fehmi Okhan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fehmi Okhan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dursun Nevruz in the 58th minute of play. Fehmi Okhan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dursun Nevruz in the 63rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Gultekin Spor's Eren Kınıkaslan got a free kick in the 65th minute. If David Šuker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gultekin Spor's Fehmi Okhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yahya Duyar in the 73rd minute of play. In the 79th minute of the match Onur Ali Mutlualp sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Saadettin Çelikhan skillfully saved the ball. Saadettin Çelikhan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alim Çinuçin went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Florentino Toli kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Fehmi Okhan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İlkan Balatekin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 90 played minutes Eyüpspor SK got a freekick which was hit by Cemil Yıldız. Dursun Nevruz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fehmi Okhan having to make a save.
