Hulusi Vefai started the match with the kick off. Gencay Yücelen charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Mürsel Sağınç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Haydar Ozaner having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Gemlik FK's Şenol Durusan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nuri Seferoğlulları narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Şenol Durusan's late challenge caught a Azdavay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Şenol Durusan helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Gemlik FK's Şenol Durusan got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Gemlik FK's Ali Haydar Ozaner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yusuf Ziya Cengaver in the 56th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Azdavay's goalkeeper Nuri Seferoğlulları had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Şenol Durusan. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hulusi Vefai in the 60th minute of play forced Azdavay's goalkeeper Nuri Seferoğlulları to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Azdavay's goal looked a bit too open when Hulusi Vefai came free, but Nuri Seferoğlulları reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Gemlik FK booed when Azdavay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berker Ulunay didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hulusi Vefai who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Nuri Seferoğlulları when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Şenol Durusan came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Gemlik FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Şenol Durusan couldn't finish the play. Arda Tecen came free with the goalkeeper in the 90th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nuri Seferoğlulları could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mürsel Sağınç in the 92nd minute of play forced Gemlik FK's goalkeeper Ali Haydar Ozaner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Şenol Durusan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Nuri Seferoğlulları made a huge save. Gemlik FK were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Azdavay to leave the ground with a draw.
