An unexpectedly hard shot by Türkeş Akergin in the 13th minute of play forced Göktas JK's goalkeeper Ahmet Koralp Zekeriya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mustafa Necati Babür's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ahmet Koralp Zekeriya read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Cenap Savtekin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yaşar Temren in the 17th minute of the match. Mustafa Necati Babür received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Türkeş Akergin in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ahmet Koralp Zekeriya saved Göktas JK from getting behind. When Erkin Temren came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Bayramören FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erkin Temren couldn't finish the play. 44 minutes into the match, Göktas JK's goal looked a bit too open when Türkeş Akergin came free, but Ahmet Koralp Zekeriya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mustafa Orhan Özcan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cenap Savtekin having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Türkeş Akergin was the one to do the kick off. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 53rd minute of the game. One of Göktas JK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bayramören FK:s goal. 55 minutes into the game, Zülfü Çinucen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ahmet Koralp Zekeriya was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
