When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Décio Severo sped through Arhavi FK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ahmet Göktuğ Gümüş. Ahmet Sedat Özengin came free with the goalkeeper in the 10th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ramiz Honazlı could save by the left post. When Karagümrük's Décio Severo in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Décio Severo in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ahmet Göktuğ Gümüş saved Arhavi FK from getting behind. If Karl-Johan Wallander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramiz Honazlı was a little too slow when Bedrettin Erdoğan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Décio Severo was the one to do the kick off. If Décio Severo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Décio Severo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arhavi FK's Ahmet Göktuğ Gümüş played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hilmi Serhan in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd match minute, Karagümrük was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaan Rezzak to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Arhavi FK's Ahmet Göktuğ Gümüş got control of the ball when Kaan Rezzak tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Arhavi FK's zone, Décio Severo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmet Göktuğ Gümüş came out of the goal and Décio Severo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Karl-Johan Wallander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Göktuğ Gümüş having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Karagümrük's Décio Severo got a free kick in the 79th minute. Ahmet Göktuğ Gümüş made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filipe Valente in the 86th minute of play. Ramiz Honazlı took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bedrettin Erdoğan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 94 minutes into the game, Décio Severo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Ahmet Göktuğ Gümüş was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Karagümrük's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
