After having played for 5 minutes, Hacı Garipbaş managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kubat Akçal charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kubat Akçal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kubat Akçal kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Selman Safi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Halit Ziya Necid came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Evren JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Halit Ziya Necid couldn't finish the play. Halit Ziya Necid received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Şafak Orsan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Güngören getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Rıza Bedih hit a great ball. Evren JK's Mehmet Fatih Şerefhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hidayet Canalp in the 28th minute of play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Hidayet Canalp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Güngören's supporters rose to their feet, but Hidayet Canalp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mehmet Fatih Şerefhan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Halit Ziya Necid stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 56 minutes, Selman Safi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Güngören's supporters crossed their fingers, but Selman Safi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 57th minute, Mustafa Oğuz Tecik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Hidayet Canalp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Güngören's goalkeeper Şafak Orsan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Hacı Garipbaş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Şafak Orsan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Halit Ziya Necid in the 65th minute of the match. In the 68thth minute of the game Hidayet Canalp who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Evren JK's Mehmet Fatih Şerefhan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Hacı Garipbaş's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Şafak Orsan was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. In the 70th minute, Tuğrul Önel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Şafak Orsan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Halit Ziya Necid, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 73 minutes Güngören's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Muharrem Özçelik who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Muharrem Özçelik almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Güngören's Şafak Orsan did a great save. Şafak Orsan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Halit Ziya Necid in the 76th minute of the match. In the 79th minute of the match Behlül Şemsifer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mehmet Fatih Şerefhan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Selman Safi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mehmet Fatih Şerefhan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Halit Ziya Necid fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şafak Orsan having to interfere. Selman Safi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mehmet Fatih Şerefhan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
