Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Şansal Ayıkoğlu in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mehmet Emre Onursal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tansu Nasrullah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehmet Emre Onursal having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Refik Başel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ondokuzmayis fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. If Refik Başel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. Tolgahan Eryildiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ilica FK's Tolgahan Eryildiz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Ilica FK from getting a goal against them. In the 90th minute, Afşar Talaykan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 92 played minutes, Ilica FK's Ali Asım Beyazit shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mehmet Emre Onursal came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ilica FK reached it. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ondokuzmayis eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
