The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gencalp Özerdim showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Karantina SK's goal looked a bit too open when Kahraman Biçimli came free, but Gencalp Özerdim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Duran Özerdal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mustafa Emre Ergüder having to make a save. Kahraman Biçimli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gencalp Özerdim having to interfere. Gencalp Özerdim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kahraman Biçimli, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Sadettin Çelenk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Gencalp Özerdim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Kahraman Biçimli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gencalp Özerdim was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Duran Özerdal was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Karantina SK's Gencalp Özerdim got control of the ball when Sadettin Çelenk tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 75 played minutes Karantina SK got a freekick which was hit by Abdullatif Vasfi. When Duran Özerdal came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Karantina SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Duran Özerdal couldn't finish the play. Berke Özbilir took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 86th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gencalp Özerdim. Karantina SK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sadettin Çelenk struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Gencalp Özerdim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taksim.
