Özgüzeldere's supporters crossed their fingers, but İlyas Tolga İbiş was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ali Kürşat Demircan during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Özgüzeldere fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! Samed Paydas shot the penalty kick right outside the post. If Turabi Uğurlubey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Özgüzeldere's zone, Melik Suerkan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Güvenç Öksal came out of the goal and Melik Suerkan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Uğurcan Taştan in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Güvenç Öksal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Behiç Uçman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Uğurcan Taştan to make the kick off. The supporters of Islamic Union FC booed when Özgüzeldere was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Görkem Hoyrat didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th match minute, Özgüzeldere was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hakkı Devrim Özarkın to maneuver through the defense. Melik Suerkan took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Güvenç Öksal. Güvenç Öksal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 79th minute, Melik Suerkan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Uğurcan Taştans short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Güvenç Öksal to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 87 minutes into the match, Gökberk Oskay notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Islamic Union FC's Nunez Weather. Nunez Weather was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by İlyas Tolga İbiş in the 91st minute of play forced Islamic Union FC's goalkeeper Nunez Weather to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Islamic Union FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Özgüzeldere throughout the match.
