Spectators: 6676 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1676, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Savaşer Tutkun started the match with the kick off. With his leg Şerafettin Safa managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when Hozat JK's Birol Babürşah fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 8 minutes into the match, İzmirspor's goal looked a bit too open when Savaşer Tutkun came free, but Şerafettin Safa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th match minute, Hozat JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Savaşer Tutkun to maneuver through the defense. If Erdeniz Hünkar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Yakup Kadri Tanbey fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored İzmirspor's protests and gave Yakup Kadri Tanbey a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 15th minute of the game. One of İzmirspor:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hozat JK:s goal. Barbaros Altuncuoğlu shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Hozat JK's goalkeeper Anıl Arda Yaltırak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bulut Olgunay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Anıl Arda Yaltırak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anıl Arda Yaltırak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erdeniz Hünkar in the 27th minute of play. Anıl Arda Yaltırak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bulut Olgunay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Birol Babürşah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şerafettin Safa having to interfere. Raşit Bağcı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anıl Arda Yaltırak having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Bulut Olgunay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 44 minutes, Erdeniz Hünkar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. İzmirspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erdeniz Hünkar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Erdeniz Hünkar made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Savaşer Tutkun in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Şerafettin Safa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Hozat JK booed when İzmirspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haluk Kuray didn't get a good kick on the ball. Birol Babürşah sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 58 minutes into the match, İzmirspor's goal looked a bit too open when Savaşer Tutkun came free, but Şerafettin Safa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute Erdeniz Hünkar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anıl Arda Yaltırak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eralp Müslim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Anıl Arda Yaltırak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Savaşer Tutkun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the İzmirspor defense, Birol Babürşah kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Şerafettin Safa. The İzmirspor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Şerafettin Safa should have stopped the shot. 83 minutes into the match, İzmirspor's goal looked a bit too open when Murat Özben came free, but Şerafettin Safa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute Savaşer Tutkun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şerafettin Safa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94thth minute of the game Savaşer Tutkun who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but İzmirspor's Şerafettin Safa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Hozat JK fans cheered their team off the field, for while İzmirspor had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
