The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sahinbey. In the 13th minute there was a penalty for Karatas JK. Tugay Sağıt stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Onuralp Hürsel. 0-2. Bilge Kağan Özgunay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Onuralp Hürsel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bilge Kağan Özgunay in the 18th minute of play forced Sahinbey's goalkeeper Onuralp Hürsel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Karatas JK defense, Arda Baybars Turatekin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cenap Özertem. The Karatas JK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cenap Özertem should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Abdulhamit Ubeydullah struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Cenap Özertem didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sahinbey. Göktürk Zorlu's late challenge caught a Sahinbey's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Göktürk Zorlu helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Sahinbey booed when Karatas JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Göktürk Zorlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sezgin Aktemur's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cenap Özertem read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulaş Çetinay in the 67th minute of play forced Sahinbey's goalkeeper Onuralp Hürsel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Karatas JK's zone, Abdulhamit Ubeydullah stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cenap Özertem came out of the goal and Abdulhamit Ubeydullah tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Karatas JK getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Tugay Sağıt hit a great ball. If Sezgin Aktemur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Onuralp Hürsel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bilge Kağan Özgunay in the 77th minute. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Karatas JK's goalkeeper Cenap Özertem, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sezgin Aktemur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Cenap Özertem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sezgin Aktemur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the game, Arda Baybars Turatekin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sahinbey's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Karatas JK the free kick. A collision led to Sahinbey getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Arda Baybars Turatekin hit a great ball. If Bilge Kağan Özgunay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ulaş Çetinay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Onuralp Hürsel having to interfere. 96 minutes into the game, one of Sahinbey:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 98 minutes, Karatas JK's Tugay Sağıt got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Onuralp Hürsel. Chants of Karatas JK echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Sahinbey had held the ball for most of the match.
