In the 63rd minute Alpay Torcan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaptan Okcun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Müslüm İspirli's late challenge caught a Van FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Ertuğrul Şahkar came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Van FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ertuğrul Şahkar couldn't finish the play. After 87 played minutes Van FK got a freekick which was hit by Faruk Nafiz Seha. Tuncer Ekinci recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ertuğrul Şahkar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 97 minutes into the game, Van FK's Ertuğrul Şahkar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kaptan Okcun made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Van FK fully deserved thier win.
