The supporters of Körfez booed when Konyaspor FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basílio Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th minute Mümtaz Rasih shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Savaşer Erginer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th match minute, Körfez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferit Mutluer to maneuver through the defense. Savaşer Erginer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Menderes Seyhan went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Savaşer Erginer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Menderes Seyhan, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 22nd minute Ferit Mutluer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fahrettin Geçer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Körfez's Savaşer Erginer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Menderes Seyhan in the 25th minute of play. Fahrettin Geçer was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Alemdar Tangun capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alemdar Tangun really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Olgun Bilen's late challenge caught a Körfez's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olgun Bilen helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Konyaspor FC's Olgun Bilen got a free kick in the 34th minute. When Samim Erbaş came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Körfez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samim Erbaş couldn't finish the play. In the 39th minute, Ferit Mutluer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 40 minutes into the match, Körfez's goal looked a bit too open when Menderes Seyhan came free, but Savaşer Erginer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Menderes Seyhan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Savaşer Erginer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute Cihat Oyhan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Savaşer Erginer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cihat Oyhan to strike the kick off in the second half. Konyaspor FC's Fahrettin Geçer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferit Mutluer in the 54th minute of play. Körfez's Savaşer Erginer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Körfez from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Körfez's Savaşer Erginer got control of the ball when Mümtaz Rasih tried to sneak it across the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Ferit Mutluer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fahrettin Geçer. Konyaspor FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ferit Mutluer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferit Mutluer couldn't finish the play. In the 78th minute, Mümtaz Rasih reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Savaşer Erginer. The goal made the score 2-3. Ferit Mutluer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Körfez's Savaşer Erginer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Körfez from getting a goal against them. Mümtaz Rasih could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Savaşer Erginer made a huge save. When the match was over Konyaspor FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Körfez throughout the match.
