Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Rıfat Seri started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. SivasSpor's Ali Cafer Yaygır played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Turan Dilşah in the 4th minute of play. Turan Dilşah hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 14th match minute, Gelibolu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Korkut Nazım to maneuver through the defense. Deniz Enfa, 15 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Abdi Saygın Boratay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 24 minutes of play, SivasSpor's Yakup Kahveci made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ekber İftihar was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 27 played minutes SivasSpor got a freekick which was hit by Nebi Kerimhan. In the 29th minute Turan Dilşah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Cafer Yaygır saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ekber İftihar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rıfat Seri, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. When Abdi Saygın Boratay came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the SivasSpor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdi Saygın Boratay couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Gelibolu's zone, Rıfat Seri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ekber İftihar came out of the goal and Rıfat Seri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ekber İftihar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdi Saygın Boratay in the 38th minute of the match. SivasSpor's Ali Cafer Yaygır proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save SivasSpor from getting a goal against them. In the 44th match minute, SivasSpor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Seyrani Ayvaz to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Korkut Nazım in the 45th minute really tested Ali Cafer Yaygır's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Ali Cafer Yaygır showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Turan Dilşah, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Turan Dilşah to make the kick off. Rıfat Seri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ekber İftihar having to interfere. Bora Han Sağan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Cafer Yaygır having to interfere. Bora Han Sağan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66thth minute of the game Turan Dilşah who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SivasSpor's Ali Cafer Yaygır was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in SivasSpor's zone, Bora Han Sağan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ali Cafer Yaygır came out of the goal and Bora Han Sağan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Abdi Saygın Boratay took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Ekber İftihar to make any attempt to save it. Rıfat Seri was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 73rd minute. SivasSpor's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 77th minute, Bektaş Tarab hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Rıfat Seri managed to get in a good position for a shot. SivasSpor's supporters rose to their feet, but Rıfat Seri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ekber İftihar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ali Cafer Yaygır showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Turan Dilşah, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. 89 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Gelibolu's Bora Han Sağan fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bora Han Sağan in the 91st minute of play forced SivasSpor's goalkeeper Ali Cafer Yaygır to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SivasSpor's Ali Cafer Yaygır played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Turan Dilşah in the 92nd minute of play. Rıfat Seri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ekber İftihar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. When the match was over SivasSpor could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Gelibolu throughout the match.
