When Mehmet Fatih Tanbek fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Melik GN's protests and gave Mehmet Fatih Tanbek a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Melik GN getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Gencer Kaptan made the kick off in the second half. Mehmet Fatih Tanbek did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-2 to the left of a surprised Ali Vedat Sebil 52 minutes into the match. Şevket Tacik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Necati Işık in the 59th minute of the match.
