The audience thought a goal was coming when Orbay Sakman got free with Yüce Tuğaltan in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quilino Agüera in the 14th minute of play forced Siirt FK's goalkeeper Reşat Şahsuvaroğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Orbay Sakman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Yüce Tuğaltan made a huge save. Reşat Şahsuvaroğlu came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Kızılyıldız FK's Quilino Agüera. But to his dismay, Quilino Agüera quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 22 minutes into the game, Quilino Agüera cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Reşat Şahsuvaroğlu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 26thth minute of the game Quilino Agüera who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Siirt FK's Reşat Şahsuvaroğlu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Kızılyıldız FK booed when Siirt FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tansu Nevzat didn't get a good kick on the ball. Orbay Sakman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Quilino Agüera came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Kızılyıldız FK fans jumped to their feet. Reşat Şahsuvaroğlu was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Bedri Rikap fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Siirt FK's protests and gave Bedri Rikap a yellow card for diving instead. The referee gave Kızılyıldız FK a penalty, 45 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sadettin Yaban, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Siirt FK's Reşat Şahsuvaroğlu. 1-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Quilino Agüera to make the kick off. Quilino Agüera's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reşat Şahsuvaroğlu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. 53 minutes into the match, Siirt FK's goal looked a bit too open when Quilino Agüera came free, but Reşat Şahsuvaroğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
