In the 5th minute, Coşkun Kırgız got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Palermo's zone, İbrahim Tülek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Genco Yasun came out of the goal and İbrahim Tülek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Reşat Yerel charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reşat Yerel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 7 minutes into the game, one of Palermo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 16 minutes into the match, Coşkun Kırgız had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Genco Yasun. Palermo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Coşkun Kırgız was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Coşkun Kırgız's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Genco Yasun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Coşkun Kırgız in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Genco Yasun saved Palermo from getting behind. Palermo's Ogün Otaran got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 26th minute of the match, Ogün Otaran got a very nice opportunity to score, but Abdulkadir Günaydın was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Genco Yasun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Coşkun Kırgız, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Coşkun Kırgız put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Genco Yasun. Coşkun Kırgız received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Genco Yasun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abdulkadir Günaydın took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reşat Yerel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Keramettin Eldem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Genco Yasun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Keramettin Eldem managed to get in a good position for a shot. Havsa FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Keramettin Eldem was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Genco Yasun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 65 minutes, İbrahim Tülek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Havsa FK and the Palermo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 65th match minute, Havsa FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by İbrahim Tülek to maneuver through the defense. Coşkun Kırgız sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Battal Gazi Vahdet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Coşkun Kırgız's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Genco Yasun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. After 75 minutes of play, Havsa FK's Coşkun Kırgız made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Genco Yasun was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 80th match minute, Havsa FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Keramettin Eldem to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute, Coşkun Kırgız left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Havsa FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. 93 minutes into the match, Havsa FK's goal looked a bit too open when Ogün Otaran came free, but Abdulkadir Günaydın reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 95 minutes had been played when some careless play by Havsa FK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tolunay Oğuralp was slow to take the kick. During this time Palermo's players had a chance to rest. Tolunay Oğuralp kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. When the match was over Havsa FK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Palermo throughout the match.
