In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Eyüpspor's goalkeeper Nebi Sanay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Orhun Pakel came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the TROBZON fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orhun Pakel couldn't finish the play. Gökmen Turalp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. TROBZON's Lütfü Hasanbeyli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berkem Egelioğlu in the 22nd minute of play. After 25 played minutes Eyüpspor got a freekick which was hit by Yağızhan Talaş. Nebi Sanay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melik Ünsi in the 27th minute of the match. After 27 minutes of play, TROBZON's Melik Ünsi made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nebi Sanay was left in no man's land by his defense there! Orhun Pakel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Nebi Sanay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Melik Ünsi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nebi Sanay was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. Eyüpspor's Buğra Nazir got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 48 played minutes TROBZON got a freekick which was hit by Gökmen Turalp. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

53 minutes into the match, TROBZON's goal looked a bit too open when Yağızhan Talaş came free, but Lütfü Hasanbeyli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, TROBZON's Aziz Vargın got a free kick in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Buğra Nazir in the 58th minute of play forced TROBZON's goalkeeper Lütfü Hasanbeyli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lütfü Hasanbeyli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alişan Eronat in the 62nd minute of play. Nebi Sanay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melik Ünsi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alkan Tezalp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nebi Sanay having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tayfun Akdemir during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to TROBZON getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Tayfun Akdemir hit a great ball. 74 minutes into the match, Buğra Nazir notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of TROBZON's Lütfü Hasanbeyli. Lütfü Hasanbeyli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 79thth minute of the game Buğra Nazir who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TROBZON's Lütfü Hasanbeyli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Berkem Egelioğlu's late challenge caught a TROBZON's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Berkem Egelioğlu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 80th match minute, Eyüpspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berkem Egelioğlu to maneuver through the defense. Nebi Sanay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melik Ünsi, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melik Ünsi in the 84th minute of play forced Eyüpspor's goalkeeper Nebi Sanay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lütfü Hasanbeyli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 97 played minutes Eyüpspor got a freekick which was hit by Berkem Egelioğlu. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Eyüpspor fans cheered their team off the field, for while TROBZON had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
