An unexpectedly hard shot by Atalan Akağan in the 4th minute of play forced Aksaray's goalkeeper Bahadır Sabi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute, Yusuf Tunçkurt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bahadır Sabi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Bahadır Sabi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atalan Akağan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute, Atalan Akağan made a precise shot to the right of Bahadır Sabi. Aksaray's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 17 minutes into the match, Aksaray's goal looked a bit too open when Yusuf Tunçkurt came free, but Bahadır Sabi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aksaray's Bahadır Sabi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yusuf Tunçkurt in the 39th minute of play. 46 minutes into the game, Yusuf Tunçkurt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Bahadır Sabi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Mersin İdman Yurdu were leading 1-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Arda Göksel Erçin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Refik Uğursal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 55 minutes into the match, Mersin İdman Yurdu's goal looked a bit too open when Zekai Ağırtaş came free, but Arda Göksel Erçin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yusuf Tunçkurt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Aksaray's Bahadır Sabi got control of the ball when Akşemseddin Özerkin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bahadır Sabi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nafiz Salar in the 67th minute of the match. Aksaray's Bahadır Sabi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atalan Akağan in the 67th minute of play. Bahadır Sabi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Atalan Akağan in the 69th minute of play. Bahadır Sabi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nurkan Tutkun in the 73rd minute. Ergin Resai scored 2-6 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bahadır Sabi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 84th minute Tahir Usbay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arda Göksel Erçin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aksaray's Bahadır Sabi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Aksaray from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ergin Resai got free with Bahadır Sabi in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Akşemseddin Özerkin came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Mersin İdman Yurdu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Akşemseddin Özerkin couldn't finish the play. Mersin İdman Yurdu's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
