After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Akay Gulabi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tercan SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Akay Gulabi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmet Gündüz Otaran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 17th minute, Akay Gulabi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tercan SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Mithat Ulutekin hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Ahmet Gündüz Otaran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mithat Ulutekin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th match minute, Ilic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdulhamit Salur to maneuver through the defense. Alkın Bilen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Atilla Kağan Aydoğan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Atilla Kağan Aydoğan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zekai Türegün went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ilic's goalkeeper Ahmet Gündüz Otaran, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Tercan SK defense, Alkın Bilen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Atilla Kağan Aydoğan. The Tercan SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Atilla Kağan Aydoğan should have stopped the shot. Ahmet Gündüz Otaran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mithat Ulutekin in the 42nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ilic's zone, Mithat Ulutekin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmet Gündüz Otaran came out of the goal and Mithat Ulutekin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 45 played minutes Tercan SK got a freekick which was hit by Resul İlter. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When Zekai Türegün came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Ilic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zekai Türegün couldn't finish the play. Ahmet Gündüz Otaran didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Akay Gulabi went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. A collision led to Tercan SK getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Tugay Sarper hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Tercan SK defense, Zekai Türegün kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Atilla Kağan Aydoğan. The Tercan SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Atilla Kağan Aydoğan should have stopped the shot. In the 62nd minute, Zekai Türegün got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zekai Türegün fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilla Kağan Aydoğan having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Şerif Taykurt during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
