Selami Ugraş's late challenge caught a BEŞİKTAŞ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Selami Ugraş helped the player get up and apologised. Selami Ugraş hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. BEŞİKTAŞ's Ahmet Ali Erboy couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 4th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for ANKARAGÜCÜ. Haluk Ünsan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Aytaç Oyhan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Egemen Senih tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aytaç Oyhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egemen Senih having to interfere. Aytaç Oyhan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 16th minute, BEŞİKTAŞ's Haluk Ünsan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Egemen Senih. Egemen Senih yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. If Aytaç Oyhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aytaç Oyhan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Egemen Senih tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. BEŞİKTAŞ's Birant Akdiken played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gürhan Tangun in the 25th minute of play. Haluk Ünsan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Selim Koralp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Egemen Senih was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Haluk Ünsan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 33 minute of play. In the 37th minute, Haluk Ünsan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Egemen Senih. The goal made the score 3-0. 40 minutes into the match, ANKARAGÜCÜ's goalkeeper Egemen Senih had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aytaç Oyhan. Aytaç Oyhan struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Egemen Senih didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BEŞİKTAŞ. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Haluk Ünsan was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Aytaç Oyhan managed to get in a good position for a shot. BEŞİKTAŞ's supporters rose to their feet, but Aytaç Oyhan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Egemen Senih breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Egemen Senih showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aytaç Oyhan in the 58th minute of the match. After 62 played minutes ANKARAGÜCÜ got a freekick which was hit by Boran Özerek. After 63 played minutes, BEŞİKTAŞ's Ahmet Ali Erboy shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Egemen Senih came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in BEŞİKTAŞ reached it. Haluk Ünsan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Egemen Senih came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by BEŞİKTAŞ's Haluk Ünsan. But to his dismay, Haluk Ünsan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Egemen Senih took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haluk Ünsan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cihangir Başeğmez charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cihangir Başeğmez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ahmet Gökalp Recep sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 84 minutes, Birant Akdiken successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Haluk Ünsan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aytaç Oyhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 90th minute, Haluk Ünsan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Egemen Senih was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Turabi Çırak during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Turabi Çırak hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the match, BEŞİKTAŞ's Ahmet Ali Erboy broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. BEŞİKTAŞ walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
