Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Abdülhak Akçay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Berker Baba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 6 minutes, Tugay Kahveci successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Berker Baba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdülhak Akçay in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Ahmet Bedri Açıkgün reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tugay Kahveci. The goal made the score 1-0. FENERBAHÇE SK's Tugay Kahveci proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save FENERBAHÇE SK from getting a goal against them. In the 18th minute, Ulaş Özek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 24 minutes into the match, Karsiyaka's goal looked a bit too open when Abdülhak Akçay came free, but Berker Baba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute of the match FENERBAHÇE SK got a corner. Karsiyaka's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pars Ömürcan ran over to the corner to take the kick. Abdülhak Akçay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Görkem Öztanır sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tugay Kahveci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Bedri Açıkgün in the 33rd minute of play. Özkan Egin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Berker Baba having to interfere. Tugay Kahveci made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Baran Bilge Hüsrev sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abdülhak Akçay to make the kick off. Berker Baba was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Abdülhak Akçay capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Abdülhak Akçay really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Berker Baba made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Abdülhak Akçay sent off a good shot on target. 57 minutes into the match, FENERBAHÇE SK's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Bedri Açıkgün came free, but Tugay Kahveci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Karsiyaka's zone, Görkem Öztanır stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Berker Baba came out of the goal and Görkem Öztanır tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Berker Baba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abdülhak Akçay in the 72nd minute. In the 72nd match minute, Karsiyaka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Turabi Sorgun to maneuver through the defense. 79 minutes into the game, Abdülhak Akçay lined in a short shot 3-2 behind a frustrated Berker Baba. Tugay Kahveci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Bedri Açıkgün, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Turabi Sorgun during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
