Emilia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kamil Sağınç was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bektaş Ali Saltuk charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bektaş Ali Saltuk the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 16 played minutes Elander got a freekick which was hit by Bektaş Ali Saltuk. 17 minutes into the game, Emilia's Ataol Serdinç nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cüneyt Halıcıoğlu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Bektaş Ali Saltuk, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 27 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Hüseyin Can Baydak was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Elander's zone, Kamil Sağınç stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cüneyt Halıcıoğlu came out of the goal and Kamil Sağınç tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39th minute, Hidayet Timurtas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hüseyin Can Baydak. The goal made the score 1-1. Hüseyin Can Baydak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hidayet Timurtas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elander's Bektaş Ali Saltuk got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

After having played for 57 minutes, Kamil Sağınç managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Elander's Umur Tatu got his second yellow card of the match in the 84th minute. The referee ordered Umur Tatu off the ground. Kamil Sağınç could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Cüneyt Halıcıoğlu made a huge save. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Emilia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
