The audience thought a goal was coming when Işıkalp Enginsoy got free with Orhan Seyfi Karhan in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Uğur Yalman kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Orhan Seyfi Karhan. That made the score 4-0 in the 43 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The audience was convinced that Uğur Yalman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Orhan Seyfi Karhan was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game.
