In the 19th minute, Cevdet Kulan had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. 19 minutes into the game, Talat Celvet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kocaelispor FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bahcesehir the free kick. Gökay Baran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gökcan Onbulak in the 25th minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gökay Baran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 41st minute of the match, Gökcan Onbulak got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gökay Baran was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Anastasio Toro struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Gökay Baran didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bahcesehir.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gökcan Onbulak was the one to do the kick off.
