Ilgaz Tanyol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rıfat Uğurcan in the 7th minute of play. In the 11th match minute, Gaski SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Güner Birsen to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Rıfat Uğurcan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buldan FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Rıfat Uğurcan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ilgaz Tanyol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Gaski SK getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Baturay Altıparmak hit a great ball. Arif Gaffar Canver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Arif Gaffar Canver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rıfat Uğurcan in the 20th minute of play forced Gaski SK's goalkeeper Ilgaz Tanyol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Gaski SK's goal looked a bit too open when Rıfat Uğurcan came free, but Ilgaz Tanyol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Güner Birsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Can Taşer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 31 in the game by Güner Birsen from a close distance when the talented Can Taşer managed to make a qualified save. Buldan FK's players were relieved. The supporters of Gaski SK booed when Buldan FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zekeriya Rüşti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Güner Birsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 40th minute, Güner Birsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 46th minute Arif Gaffar Canver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilgaz Tanyol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. İskender Baki Zirve kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arif Gaffar Canver stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When İskender Baki Zirve came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Gaski SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that İskender Baki Zirve couldn't finish the play. Atay Açıker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Can Taşer having to interfere. In the 58th minute Arif Gaffar Canver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilgaz Tanyol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Gaski SK's Adnan Ülküsel got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute, Gaski SK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Arif Gaffar Canver fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arif Gaffar Canver in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ilgaz Tanyol prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ilgaz Tanyol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arif Gaffar Canver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ilgaz Tanyol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arif Gaffar Canver, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After a rather tough play, Gaski SK's Adnan Ülküsel got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 73rd minute, Rıfat Uğurcan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ilgaz Tanyol was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 77 minutes into the match, Gaski SK's goalkeeper Ilgaz Tanyol had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rıfat Uğurcan. The Buldan FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Can Taşer should have stopped the shot. Rıfat Uğurcan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ilgaz Tanyol read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. In the 97th minute Güner Birsen suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. 98 minutes into the game, Batıhan Çırakoğlu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Buldan FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gaski SK the free kick. Buldan FK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
