Maltepe's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Güney Akburçak 18 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Güney Akburçak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Maltepe's zone, Güney Akburçak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boran Atay came out of the goal and Güney Akburçak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ramazan Usta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Burhanettin Ergüleç having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Elbeyli JK's Remzi Semdin got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute Demiralp Sonat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Burhanettin Ergüleç saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Maltepe's Demiralp Sonat in 28 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Burhanettin Ergüleç guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Mansur Akasma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Boran Atay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 34 played minutes, Maltepe's İsrafil Zaid shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Burhanettin Ergüleç came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Maltepe reached it. When Mansur Akasma came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Elbeyli JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mansur Akasma couldn't finish the play. During the 36th minute of the match Volkan Bekdil completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Volkan Bekdil a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Maltepe getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Volkan Bekdil hit a great ball. Burhanettin Ergüleç showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Demiralp Sonat in the 39th minute of the match. Demiralp Sonat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Burhanettin Ergüleç tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
