The crowd rose to their feet as Hisarcik's Kamuran Beycan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gencalp Şanalp. That made the score 1-0 after 19 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Bursaspor JK's Behiç Ongun got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Hisarcik's Çakır Okkan in the 25th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Gencalp Şanalp was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Bursaspor JK through an amazing save.
