Lemi Talha scored 0-2 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gökhan Şenbay, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 17th minute Melik Beybolat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tuğrul Yeler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Mümtaz Suhan fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palu SK's protests and gave Mümtaz Suhan a yellow card for diving instead. Mümtaz Suhan kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pasabahce's zone, Özdemir Lami stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tuğrul Yeler came out of the goal and Özdemir Lami tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tuğrul Yeler made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Özdemir Lami sent off a good shot on target. After the first half Pasabahce were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 54th minute, Oğuzer Özpolat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Lemi Talha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Palu SK's Gökhan Şenbay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lemi Talha in the 56th minute of play. Tuğrul Yeler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melik Beybolat, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Palu SK:s Gökhan Şenbay showed great skill when he stopped Ogün Bahadır:s penalty. The nice shot from Oğuzer Özpolat in the 82ndth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Gökhan Şenbay had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. The supporters of Palu SK booed when Pasabahce was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ogün Bahadır didn't get a good kick on the ball.
