The Kartal SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ahmet Davut Kaan should have stopped the shot. Kazım Baysan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Siyah sancak's Erdinç Karabey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atabey Ülküm in the 17th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Kazım Baysan notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Kartal SK's Ahmet Davut Kaan. Ahmet Davut Kaan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kartal SK's Ahmet Davut Kaan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kazım Baysan in the 25th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Kazım Baysan put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Ahmet Davut Kaan. With an all-out effort, Kartal SK's Erdinç Karabey threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sacit Yaltır, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience was convinced that İsmet Veli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ahmet Davut Kaan was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. After having played for 37 minutes, Ali Faruk Kamuran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. İsmet Veli hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Erdinç Karabey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Evren Egeli in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute, Cumali Nazir made a precise shot to the right of Erdinç Karabey. Siyah sancak's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Kazım Baysan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 57th minute, Kadri Değer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Evren Egeli struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Erdinç Karabey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kartal SK. Erdinç Karabey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cumali Nazir in the 63rd minute of play. Muammer Korkutalp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Kartal SK's zone, Kazım Baysan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmet Davut Kaan came out of the goal and Kazım Baysan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Güralp Gazzal during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Kartal SK booed when Siyah sancak was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Güralp Gazzal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alkan Garipoğlu didn't quite understand what happened when in the 73 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Siyah sancak's Erdinç Karabey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kadri Değer in the 78th minute of play. Ahmet Davut Kaan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kazım Baysan, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Ahmet Davut Kaan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kazım Baysan in the 82nd minute of the match. Siyah sancak's Muammer Korkutalp got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ali Faruk Kamuran's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ahmet Davut Kaan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. The Kartal SK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
