The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Ortaköy got a freekick which was hit by Saruhan Baydar. 6 minutes into the match, Ortaköy's goalkeeper Mehdi Başkur had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baransel Topel. Ortaköy's Mehdi Başkur proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Ortaköy from getting a goal against them. Ertaç Isfahanlı succeeded in the game's 11th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gazanfer Özcan Tapık in the 15th minute of play forced Oguzlar FK's goalkeeper Berkant Evvel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 minutes, Enginalp Arabacıoğlu made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Oguzlar FK's Berkant Evvel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 19 minutes into the game, Enginalp Arabacıoğlu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Oguzlar FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hayrettin Akçasu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Coşkun Kainat kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Berkant Evvel made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Enginalp Arabacıoğlu sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Celal Otaran kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Berkant Evvel. That made the score 2-3 in the 62 minute of play. In the 69th minute, Ortaköy's Celal Otaran dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. 72 minutes into the match, Enginalp Arabacıoğlu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Berkant Evvel. Oguzlar FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enginalp Arabacıoğlu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Özdemir Dalokay in the 76th minute of play forced Ortaköy's goalkeeper Mehdi Başkur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Berkant Evvel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gazanfer Özcan Tapık in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Oguzlar FK's goalkeeper Berkant Evvel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enginalp Arabacıoğlu. After 82 minutes of play, Ortaköy's Gazanfer Özcan Tapık made it 2-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Berkant Evvel was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Gazanfer Özcan Tapık's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Berkant Evvel was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. After 90 played minutes Oguzlar FK got a freekick which was hit by Ertaç Isfahanlı. The Ortaköy supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ortaköy would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
