The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Batıray Bakkalbaşıoğlu in the 3rd minute of play forced Yenimahalle SK's goalkeeper Ahmet Baki Bilgiç to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the game, Bahtiyar İpekçi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ahmet Baki Bilgiç was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 9 minutes of play, Yedisu's Hayrullah Akkın made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ahmet Baki Bilgiç was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ahmet Baki Bilgiç showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Batıray Bakkalbaşıoğlu in the 15th minute of the match. Ali Kürşat Naşit acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 18th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Atıf Çidam. An unexpected shot in the 21st minute by Vacid Yunus got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ahmet Baki Bilgiç made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hayrullah Akkın in the 23rd minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Batıray Bakkalbaşıoğlu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Ahmet Baki Bilgiç was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Batıray Bakkalbaşıoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yedisu's supporters rose to their feet, but Batıray Bakkalbaşıoğlu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmet Baki Bilgiç breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ahmet Baki Bilgiç showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hayrullah Akkın, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. A sloppy throw-in by Tayyip Saip in the 33rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Yenimahalle SK's Aygün Çağakan. After the first half Yedisu were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sezgin Vecih made a kick off. Ali Kürşat Naşit showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sezgin Vecih in the 51st minute of the match. Ahmet Baki Bilgiç made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Hayrullah Akkın sent off a good shot on target. 60 minutes into the game, Ömer Rıza Özgu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ahmet Baki Bilgiç. Ömer Rıza Özgu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-4. In the 63rd minute, Yenimahalle SK's Atıf Çidam seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Atıf Çidam the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Yenimahalle SK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Atıf Çidam had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 63 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Yenimahalle SK! The referee gave Yedisu a penalty, 66 minutes into the game. The supporters of Yedisu booed when Yenimahalle SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdurrahim Savaşer didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Yedisu's Ahmet Baki Bilgiç threw himself towards the right post 97 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bahtiyar İpekçi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the match was over Yedisu could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Yenimahalle SK throughout the match.
