An unexpectedly hard shot by Nusrettin Kılıçaslan in the 19th minute of play forced Izmit's goalkeeper Asım Arif Aktekin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kerimhan Akburçak hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Izmit's Asım Arif Aktekin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afşin Bakanay in the 22nd minute of play. Alper Evcimen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. During the 67th minute of the match Pekin Can completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Pekin Can a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Yigilca FK getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Afşin Bakanay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asım Arif Aktekin having to interfere. Nusrettin Kılıçaslan might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Asım Arif Aktekin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nusrettin Kılıçaslan ran back to his position shaking his head. Alper Evcimen hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Alper Evcimen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Izmit's supporters rose to their feet, but Alper Evcimen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zeynel İnanöz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Yigilca FK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
