In the 16th minute, Serhat Ulusan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gürhan Özyurek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abbas Tolga having to interfere. A hard shot by Uygur Orgen from long distance, 23 minutes into the match, got Yavuz Selim Canal's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Ertaç Riayet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abbas Tolga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gürhan Özyurek, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Asım Arif Göçmen in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abbas Tolga saved Cay SK from getting behind. The supporters of Cay SK booed when Derbent SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nurettin Bayrak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abbas Tolga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gürhan Özyurek in the 43rd minute of the match. Cay SK's Abbas Tolga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gürhan Özyurek in the 45th minute of play. After the first half Derbent SK were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Naim Sayılgan kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Gürhan Özyurek took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Abbas Tolga to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Cay SK's zone, Asım Arif Göçmen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abbas Tolga came out of the goal and Asım Arif Göçmen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gürhan Özyurek made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 65thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Abbas Tolga would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. When Asım Arif Göçmen came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Derbent SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Asım Arif Göçmen couldn't finish the play. Abbas Tolga didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Derbent SK's Gürhan Özyurek shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-5 in the ordered_time% minute. After having played for 80 minutes, Ertaç Riayet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Derbent SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ertaç Riayet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 81 minutes into the match, Cay SK's goal looked a bit too open when Asım Arif Göçmen came free, but Abbas Tolga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
