Ateş Özkar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Haşim Özakın tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ahmet Necdet Tara hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. If Seyfi Oğuzkan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. In the 26th minute, Batuhan Hamurcu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 27 minutes into the game, Ali Asım Titiz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Güngören's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Genclerbirligi the free kick. In the 27th match minute, Güngören was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Asım Titiz to maneuver through the defense. Evren Münir kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Halit Fahri Seçkiner during the 45th minute. Müslüm Akgül hit a great ball. Genclerbirligi's Batuhan Hamurcu got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Güngören's Haşim Özakın played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Seyfi Oğuzkan in the 81st minute of play. When Seyfi Oğuzkan came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Genclerbirligi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Seyfi Oğuzkan couldn't finish the play. When Ali Asım Titiz was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 96 minutes had been played. When the referee ended the match the Genclerbirligi players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
