Nuratay Tunçkol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yaman Bağış in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mudurnu JK's goalkeeper Nuratay Tunçkol, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Mehmet Ali Akçiçek fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mudurnu JK's protests and gave Mehmet Ali Akçiçek a yellow card for diving instead. After 25 played minutes Mudurnu JK got a freekick which was hit by Mehmet Ali Akçiçek. In the 26th minute of the match Volkan Öztaylan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nuratay Tunçkol skillfully saved the ball. When Suphi Turatekin, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 28 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Ömer Kayhan was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Uluç Beybolat put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Nuratay Tunçkol. Reha Özer's late challenge caught a Side's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reha Özer helped the player get up and apologised. After a defensive mix-up in Mudurnu JK's zone, Uluç Beybolat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nuratay Tunçkol came out of the goal and Uluç Beybolat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Side's Ömer Kayhan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Side from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Mudurnu JK getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Ahmet Fikret Tugay hit a great ball. After 45 minutes, Yaman Bağış mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Side and the Mudurnu JK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Uluç Beybolat stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alpertunga Kaan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Umur Sadri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Uluç Beybolat managed to get in a good position for a shot. Side's supporters rose to their feet, but Uluç Beybolat was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuratay Tunçkol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 60th match minute, Mudurnu JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Fikret Tugay to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alpertunga Kaan during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Side's Ömer Kayhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Suphi Turatekin in the 77th minute of play. Ömer Kayhan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Suphi Turatekin, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Side's zone, Suphi Turatekin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ömer Kayhan came out of the goal and Suphi Turatekin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yaman Bağış sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mudurnu JK's Umur Sadri got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ömer Kayhan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Suphi Turatekin in the 96th minute of play.
