In the 16th minute, one of Zonguldak Asmaspor:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Zonguldak Asmaspor. Şehzade Han had in the 18thth minute some difficulties stopping Vahap Muammer's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 18 minutes into the game, Vahap Muammer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Şehzade Han was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 20th minute, Mehmet Efe Baytugay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gökberk Sarif took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vacib Tatu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gökberk Sarif made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Okan Çağman in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Okan Çağman in the 29th minute of play forced Erzurumspor JK's goalkeeper Gökberk Sarif to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Okan Çağman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gökberk Sarif having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Okan Çağman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gökberk Sarif was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After 38 played minutes Zonguldak Asmaspor got a freekick which was hit by Süreyya Artuç. Gökberk Sarif stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Okan Çağman's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Vacib Tatu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Davut Üner to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Erzurumspor JK got a freekick which was hit by Engin Kadirsah. Zonguldak Asmaspor's Baran Binışık couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute. Süreyya Artuç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Okan Çağman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Doğan Mengübay during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gökberk Sarif made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Okan Çağman sent off a good shot on target. In the 88th minute, Okan Çağman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
