The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hayrullah Özguven was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 12 minutes into the match. Gökberk Soyurgal shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Nadir Koçhan's late challenge caught a Savur FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nadir Koçhan helped the player get up and apologised. After 17 played minutes Caglayan JK got a freekick which was hit by Nadir Koçhan. In the 17th minute, Gökberk Soyurgal sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Caglayan JK's Şafak Kara didn't even have to move. After 19 minutes, Hamdullah Yeten mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Savur FK and the Caglayan JK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hamdullah Yeten hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. If Şamil Akgün had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nadir Koçhan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Şafak Kara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aycan Arıkan, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Aycan Arıkan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Şamil Akgün to make the kick off. With a little luck, Caglayan JK's Şafak Kara got control of the ball when Aycan Arıkan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Caglayan JK's Şafak Kara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Caglayan JK from getting a goal against them. After having played for 62 minutes, Şamil Akgün managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caglayan JK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Şamil Akgün was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Savur FK getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Hamdullah Yeten hit a great ball. Hasret Samih struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Şafak Kara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Savur FK. Aycan Arıkan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Şafak Kara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ahmet Ozan Ünüvar hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Nadir Koçhan struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Pars Ongunalp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caglayan JK. Aycan Arıkan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şafak Kara having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Savur FK's Şafak Kara threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hasret Samih, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
