Gencalp Pekel hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Cukurca's Feridun Çokman got control of the ball when Gürcan İltemiz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hulusi Yüce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Tadzio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Fabian Tadzio put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Hulusi Yüce. In the 19th minute, Valdo Marinho made a precise shot to the right of Hulusi Yüce. Aydınspor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Cukurca were furious when Egmonts Bukels was red carded, 25 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 24th minute of the game. Cukurca's attentive Gencalp Pekel managed to snatch the ball when Nurkan Erbatur made a throw-in in the 29th minute of the game. 30 minutes into the match, Cukurca's Valdo Marinho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hulusi Yüce narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Gürcan İltemiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 40 minutes, Valdo Marinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cukurca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdo Marinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Aydınspor's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Deve came free, but Hulusi Yüce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cukurca's Sabri Değer managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Zühtü Uçkan in the 45 minute of the game.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valdo Marinho to make the kick off. The supporters of Aydınspor booed when Cukurca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdo Marinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cukurca's Valdo Marinho got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 66 minutes of play, Aydınspor's Mikail Çol made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Feridun Çokman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikail Çol in the 73rd minute of the match. Valdo Marinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Hulusi Yüce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Valdo Marinho took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Hulusi Yüce to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mikail Çol in the 84th minute of play forced Cukurca's goalkeeper Feridun Çokman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Valdo Marinho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hulusi Yüce, 1-4. After a rather tough play, Aydınspor's Mikail Çol got a free kick in the 95th minute. Cukurca played a much better game than Aydınspor and deserved their victory. The Aydınspor players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
