If Fikret Beyazit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in bertas's zone, Selman Bozbora stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beyhan Soysaltürk came out of the goal and Selman Bozbora tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, bertas's Mirza Burçak got a free kick in the 17th minute. Selman Bozbora could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Beyhan Soysaltürk made a huge save. Nurkan Akçabay didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mirza Burçak went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Beyhan Soysaltürk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fikret Beyazit in the 31st minute of play. bertas's Beyhan Soysaltürk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save bertas from getting a goal against them. If Mirza Burçak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alpertunga Kurtuluş received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Nurkan Akçabay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beyhan Soysaltürk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fikret Beyazit, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Mirza Burçak made the kick off in the second half. bertas's Mirza Burçak got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 61st minute, Bahri Baydan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Selman Bozbora managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malatya's supporters rose to their feet, but Selman Bozbora was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beyhan Soysaltürk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Beyhan Soysaltürk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fikret Beyazit, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Tanju Sadir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Malatya's Fikret Beyazit got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Beyhan Soysaltürk was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. For all the effort they put into the match, the bertas players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Malatya.
