An unexpectedly hard shot by Necdet Kayansel in the 11th minute of play forced Ümraniye Spor's goalkeeper Hami Özgan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Levent Taravet in the 16th minute of play forced Çaykur Rize's goalkeeper Kamilo Banana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute, Erkut Kuman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ümraniye Spor's Ahmet Efe Erboy quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Batıray Özerek, made in the 23rd minute of the game. 26 minutes into the match, Erkut Kuman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kamilo Banana, 1-0. In the 30th minute Balaban Altınpınar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hami Özgan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hami Özgan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. But to his dismay, Semail Celilay quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Çaykur Rize's Fahri Şirzat was substituted for Mehmet Çağrı Mukbil. The throw-in from Fahri Şirzat in the 47th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Ümraniye Spor's Ahmet Efe Erboy.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alim Özcan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Necdet Kayansel charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Necdet Kayansel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ümraniye Spor booed when Çaykur Rize was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Necdet Kayansel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th minute, Alim Özcan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ümraniye Spor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Semail Celilay was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. During the 71st minute of the match Necdet Kayansel completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Necdet Kayansel a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Ümraniye Spor booed when Çaykur Rize was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Necdet Kayansel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Semail Celilay blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hami Özgan having to make a save. 90 minutes into the match, Ümraniye Spor's goal looked a bit too open when Semail Celilay came free, but Hami Özgan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Semail Celilay could shoot a difficult shot in the 94th minute, which Hami Özgan however easily saved by the left post. The supporters of Çaykur Rize booed when Ümraniye Spor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Efe Erboy didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 96 minutes, Balaban Altınpınar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Çaykur Rize's supporters crossed their fingers, but Balaban Altınpınar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Çaykur Rize's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
