Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Birant Ersalmış took the kick off in the first half of the match. Genclerbirligi's Atıf Argun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Genclerbirligi from getting a goal against them. When Selim Oruk came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Kumru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Selim Oruk couldn't finish the play. 8 minutes into the game, Selim Oruk recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Atıf Argun. Selim Oruk showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Genclerbirligi's Atıf Argun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Genclerbirligi from getting a goal against them. Halil İbrahim Sirer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atıf Argun having to interfere. The supporters of Kumru booed when Genclerbirligi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bayındır Tuncel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 23 played minutes, Kumru's Seyhan Tümkut shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Atıf Argun came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kumru reached it. Atıf Argun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Selim Oruk in the 29th minute of play. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kumru's goalkeeper Namık Aktekin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Selim Oruk in the 39th minute of play forced Genclerbirligi's goalkeeper Atıf Argun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Selim Oruk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute Mustafa Yaşar Ertüze suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. After 47 minutes, Cenk Arıbaş mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Genclerbirligi and the Kumru players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Genclerbirligi getting a freekick after 49 minutes play. Cenk Arıbaş hit a great ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Halil İbrahim Sirer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Halil İbrahim Sirer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Atıf Argun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 59 minutes of play, Kumru's Halil İbrahim Sirer made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Atıf Argun was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 62nd minute, Halil İbrahim Tanfer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Halil İbrahim Sirer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Halil İbrahim Tanfer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atıf Argun having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reşat Tunçtürk in the 78th minute of play forced Genclerbirligi's goalkeeper Atıf Argun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 82 played minutes Genclerbirligi got a freekick which was hit by Aziz Zorbey. After recieving a nice pass, Kumru's Seyhan Tümkut tried to score from far away in the 83rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 85 minutes into the match, Genclerbirligi's goal looked a bit too open when Selim Oruk came free, but Atıf Argun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atıf Argun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Halil İbrahim Sirer, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Atıf Argun came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Kumru's Halil İbrahim Sirer. But to his dismay, Halil İbrahim Sirer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Halil İbrahim Sirer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atıf Argun having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Genclerbirligi players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Kumru.
